The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau has named Stephen Aird as regional director of sales based in Connecticut and responsible for the New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut regions. He formerly served as regional director of sales for Hinton + Grusich where he operated the company’s Northeast regional office.
The Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau has named Randy Parker as director of sales for the CVB’s Cincinnati and Washington, DC-based sales staff. He was vice president of sales at Nationwide Meetings headquartered in Las Vegas.
The Pensacola Bay Area Convention & Visitors Bureau has named Leslie Mathews as convention sales manager. She was in conveniton sales with Visit Lubbock, Lubbock, TX.
The San Diego North Convention & Visitors Bureau has named Jim Tolbert national sales manager responsible for the local region and the national life sciences industry. Wahid Razaqi was named national sales manager responsible for government accounts. Tolbert formerly served as senior sales manager at the Island Hotel – The Irvine Company, Newport Beach, CA. Razaqi was sales manager for government accounts at the Doubletree Club Hotel, Mission Valley, CA.
Visit Charlotte, Charlotte, NC, has named Bill McMillan as senior director of sales. He was the director of marketing and business development for the Charlotte Regional Sports Commission.
Seattle’s Convention and Visitors Bureau has named Roxanne Townsend as national account director. She most recently served as director of global accounts, Midwest region, for Omni Hotels Global Sales.
Experience Columbus has named Anna Gebert as national sales manager for the bureau’s Washington, DC, efforts. She formerly served as national convention sales manager for the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission in Washington, DC.
The Greater Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau has promoted James Jesse Jr. to senior vice president of sales. Jesse, who has been with the GPCVB for the past 11 years, formerly served as vice president of sales, director of sales and national sales manager. Jesse replaces Kevin Kamenzind, who was promoted from senior vice president of sales to chief marketing officer.
Visit Newport Beach (CA) Inc. has named Tom Bennett as senior vice president of sales. Bennett, who has 20 years of direct sales experience, was senior vice president, sales and services for the Sacramento Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The Sacramento Convention & Visitors Bureau has appointed Jeff Poole as its Washington, DC, representative focusing on national associations in the Washington, DC, area. With more than 20 years of experience in hotel sales and service, Poole most recently served as CEO of JPS Marketing, Washington, DC. ACF
